Q. Do you stage musicals?

A. As a general rule, no. We write and promote new musicals. However, we have on occasion held a showcase, and do have a few world preimieres in the pipeline!

Q. What are your fees?

A. Our fee structure is as follows:

• Rights: $250 (AU)
• Royalties: 10% of overall door takings

• However, for smaller companies and casts, we do negotiate.

Q. Why do you promote only original musicals and not the classics?

A. We aim to bring to you and the audiences fresh new theatre that breaks out of the mould. We also believe that there are many excellent muscials that never see the light of day or are not given a chance to blossom. Who knows - tomorrow’s classics could well be the ones we have here!

Q. How did you come up with the name “Captivation”?

A. Captivation is the culmination of two words - Captive and Ovation. A captive audience leads to a standing ovation! Hence, capti - vation.

Q. I have a great show I’ve written. Can I contact you?

A. YES! Most definitely! We would love to hear from you and peruse your musical. Of course, we do review the production to see if it is suitable for our company - but please, get in touch with us and we’d love to hear from you!
