The Synopsis
“Backbeat” is a musical that uses many songs from the Motown and early Rock ‘n’ Roll era, combined with a quick-paced fun script.
Set at a high school somewhere in America, “Backbeat” traces the lives of four teenage couples, their break ups, the parties and the dances, and ultimately their reunions.
Containing 30 great songs from the era, it’s a night for all of the family and guaranteed to have you leaving with a smile on your face and a song in your heart! Join us in the early 60’s, where pompadours were cool, the guys were cooler and the high school was a place to be seen!
